Using the Hanger
Major takeaways from using the hanger so far
- According to the hanger my swing with a 7 iron should be shallower. This changes my angle of attack.
- I was probably flipping my hands a bit at impact, keeping the hanger against my left forarm requires me to rotate more and release later than I have been.
- I immediately started hitting shots very thin, losing them to the right (slice)
- I was able to feel more control if I concentrate on my knuckles pointing towards the ground at impact and then rotating my left hand so its facing the sky in the follow through.
- Also trying the swing thought of sweeping the ball like a broom / hockey stick. Dynamic loft should be lower. You wouldn't flip a broom with your hands to sweep.
Golf notes Good Friday
- Didn’t start well at all
- Drives were big slices
- Topped everything
- Realized I wasn’t pivoting around front foot and didn't have weight on my front feet.
- How do I play short shot in rough?
- Need to work on drives with new approach. Maybe with hanger
